Transcript of text:

"It is a notorious fact, that the many excellent Hospitals in the Metropolis are
seldom called into requisition by the richer classes. A Private Home for
paying patients has therefore been an obvious want, and is now met by this
establishment.
The Lady Superintendent, who is herself a Hospital Nurse, has a full staff of
thoroughly trained certificated Nurses.
The house is new, fitted with every comfort, and the sanitary arrangements
are excellent. There is every kind of appliance and convenience for Invalids,
whether requiring an operation, or only medical treatment; and patients of every
kind are received, with the exception of those suffering from infectious diseases.
Gentlemen, as well as ladies and children, can be nursed at the Home, and
may be attended by their private physicians or surgeons.
To officers invalided from India and the other colonies, people from the
country, and visitors from Europe, who may require careful nursing as well as
the best medical skill,
MISS MACARTNEY'S HOME FOR PAYING PATIENTS
offers exceptional advantages.
A Masseur in attendance, who also gives Medicated Baths when ordered."
