Open full image ↗Ann Blainey will talk about her new book and its star, Charles Kingsford Smith, flyer extraordinaire. It was he who made the first continuous flight across Australia, the first trans-Pacific flight, and the first flight across the Atlantic from east to west. He also held the record for a flight from Sydney to London, then retraced his steps to make the first solo flight on the same route. But there was so much more to the life of this intrepid pioneer, as we will discover.
