This is a permanent feature at the north east corner of Yarra Park. In the absence of signs and parking attendants, cars head up here to exit the park, find it is blocked, do hair raising circuits around this little tree and dodge other cars on the way back. Dangerous too!

A specific instructions to the parking attendants is that there is to be no parking on mulched areas. The parking attendants are well aware of these instructions but there is no one ensuring compliance. The "greater good" seems to be to maximise the number of cars.

It's now a couple of days are the first weekend of finals. During the preceeding week the news had been full of dire warnings of heavy rain and flooding for the weekend which turned out to be very accurate.
